The walls of San Vito, which welcome you as soon as you step into the garden, date back to the second half of the 16th century and take their name from the nearby Monastery of San Vito, commissioned by Viceroy Ferdinando Gonzaga, who ordered its construction in 1537. They marked the northern boundary of the city and show how Palermo expanded over time.

Hello, my name is Simona. I was born and raised in Palermo, so I can say I am a truly Palermitana. This means I welcome guests at Mura as if they were new friends, always doing my best to make their stay memorable. I enjoy wandering through the alleys of the old town, searching for new coffee shops, restaurants, renovated buildings, and hidden gems. I am the perfect host to show you the ins and outs of this enchanting city.
I'm Tancredi, Simona's son, often on the move with a backpack, but Palermo is always home. I'm nicknamed “the Norman” here because of my name and my features; they say i'm the younger side of Mura because of my innovative approach and energy. For me, hosting is about sharing Palermo in a simple, genuine way, just as we experience it every day.
Mura is a family- run place where we work together to take care of every details and make our guest feel at home.
Stop at the Capo Market and taste the street food or buy some fresh tomatoes, oregano, capers, a loaf of bread and a bottle of Sicilian wine and dine al fresco in our lovely garden.
Follow the Arab-Norman route, a Unesco world heritage site; an example of syncretism among Arab, Byzantine and Norman art and of respectful coexistence among different populations.
Dress elegantly, walk to the Teatro Massimo and enjoy an Opera by Verdi, Puccini or Donizzetti in one of the most iconic theaters in Europe. End the evening at one of the most trendy restaurant. We will suggest one of our favorite.
